Four waterproof packing tricks from GoGoX drivers

1. Multiple tight layers of stretch film: the core protection. For large furniture or stacked boxes, wrap upwards in at least three overlapping layers of industrial stretch film to keep rain out.
2. Double-bagging: for clothes, books or important documents, bag them in a moisture-proof bag, seal it, then put that in the box. Even if the outside gets damp, the contents stay dry.
3. A tarpaulin over the top: if goods have to move through the open even briefly, lay a heavy waterproof tarpaulin over the top and rope it down so rain cannot get in from above.
4. Tape box seams in an “H” pattern: the seal is where water gets in. With waterproof packing tape, close the centre seam and both side edges completely, forming an H.
