How to recognise official GoGoX SMS
GoGoX takes part in the Office of the Communications Authority (OFCA) SMS Sender Registration Scheme. Our registered SMS sender IDs start with “#”:
#GoGoX#GoGoVan
- Only registered senders can use sender IDs starting with “#”. Other SMS using a “#” sender ID are blocked by the telecommunications networks.
- If you receive an SMS claiming to be from GoGoX or GoGoVan without a “#” in the sender ID, be cautious and do not click any links in it.
- You can check sender IDs on OFCA's SMS Sender Registry.
GoGoX will never ask you to
- Share your one-time password (OTP), online banking password or full card details.
- Transfer money to a personal bank account, or pay with gift cards or cryptocurrency.
- Pay through a payment link sent by SMS or a social media private message.
- Install other apps or remote-control software to fix an “order issue” or get a “refund”.
How to spot a suspicious message
- Sender: check the email address or phone number for misspellings. A caller ID starting with + means the call is from outside Hong Kong.
- Links: don’t click links from unknown sources. Typing www.gogox.com yourself is safer.
- Attachments: don’t open unexpected attachments or install files sent in messages (such as APKs).
- Content: be wary of messages that push you to act now, such as account will be suspended, order problem or same-day refund.
Received a suspicious call?
Before sharing any information, hang up and call GoGoX customer service yourself on 2337 1234 to verify the caller. Do not call back on a number the caller gives you.
Verifying your driver and order
- Driver details (name, licence plate) are shown on the order page in the GoGoX App. Check them before handing over goods or boarding.
- The fare shown in the app applies. If a driver asks for extra charges, call our hotline to verify first.
Protect your account
- Download the GoGoX App only from the App Store or Google Play, and keep the app and your phone’s system up to date.
- Avoid logging in on public Wi-Fi or shared devices.
- When you add a credit card, your card issuer sends a one-time password (3-D Secure authentication). This code is for you to enter only. Never share it with anyone, including anyone claiming to be GoGoX staff.
Suspect a scam?
- Stop replying. Do not click links or make payments.
- Call GoGoX customer service on 2337 1234 to verify.
- Call the Police Anti-Scam Helpline 18222.
- If you have shared bank details, contact your card issuer immediately (see below).
