GoGoX delivers steady growth during the holiday period amid challenging weather conditions

GoGoX, a logistics technology company, announced today that during the recent Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holiday period , which coincided with a typhoon that brought severe challenges to the logistics industry, the on-demand platform’s overall delivery order volume still recorded steady growth. The platform saw an approximately 6% year-on-year (YoY) increase in orders compared to last year’s Mid-Autumn period.

On the enterprise side, the business also performed well, with orders for same-day and next-day services growing year-on-year by nearly 50% and 125%, reflecting the growing market demand for flexible and efficient on-demand logistics. GoGoX is fully prepared for the upcoming Q4 logistics peak and has launched several reward campaigns for its driver-partners to ensure sufficient fleet capacity.

East Kowloon demand surges over 40%, bucking the trend

Fueled by the holiday effect, the GoGoX platform recorded steady order growth. While service demand was highest in core industrial and residential areas like Kwun Tong, Tsuen Wan, and Kwai Chung, the main growth momentum came from new developments and large residential areas in East Kowloon. The three districts with the most significant growth were Kai Tak (47%), Sau Mau Ping (46%), and Yau Tong (32%).

Ming Tse, Platform Director at GoGoX, noted, “The completion of large new housing estates and the high population density in East Kowloon have driven up local logistics demand. However, this year’s Mid-Autumn peak coincided with a typhoon hitting Hong Kong, which inevitably affected the logistics industry. Our top priority was the safety of our driver-partners – we took proactive steps to ensure their well-being and issued clear service guidelines during the typhoon. We are deeply grateful to them for their understanding and commitment in resuming service safely completing every delivery once the weather stabilized.”

In enterprise logistics services, orders for same-day delivery grew by 45% year-on-year, while next-day logistics orders surged by 125%, primarily driven by SME clients accelerating their digital transformation. Their growing logistics needs are fueling steady demand across industries — a healthy driver for both business growth and Hong Kong’s broader economy.

Alice Ong, Regional Business Director at GoGoX, pointed out that the logistics industry has entered its peak season of the year. Looking ahead to the fourth quarter, the upcoming shopping festivals such as “Double 10”, “Double 11” and Christmas will drive demand for on-demand or next day deliveries, whether it’s for holiday gift deliveries, sourcing goods for family and friend gatherings, or e-commerce promotions. With its extensive driver-partner network, diverse fleet options, and efficient same-day or next day delivery capabilities, GoGoX has become an indispensable logistics backbone for enterprises and merchants. GoGoX is fully prepared in terms of fleet capacity and service flexibility to support clients through the annual logistics peak.

Multiple rewards launched to thank driver-partners and fulfill platform responsibilities

Ming Tse stated, to enhance driver productivity and to thank our driver-partners for their hard work during the peak season, the platform launched special campaigns such as the “Mid-Autumn Van Challenge” and the “Grand Prize Giveaway.” In one campaign, driver-partners earned points by completing orders, with the top 300 participants sharing a prize pool valued at over HK$100,000. The platform also gifted over a thousand boxes of mooncakes to its driver-partners to express gratitude for their tireless service.

“GoGoX has always prioritised the well-being of our driver-partners,” said Ming Tse.“We welcome the government’s efforts to strengthen protection for platform workers and will participate in discussions with an open and constructive attitude to enhance support for driver-partners and advance the industry’s development.
