The Folk Story of Mid-Autumn Festival
Once upon a time in ancient China, there were ten suns in the sky scorching the Earth. Master archer Hou Yi shot down nine of them. He was presented with an elixir of immortality as a reward. However, he was not willing to become immortal without his beautiful wife, Chang-e.
One day, Feng Meng, one of Hou Yi’s student, tried to persuade Chang-e to give him the elixir. Unwilling to let the elixir fall into the wrong hands, she drank the elixir and flew into the moon – becoming immortal.
Grieving, Hou Yi burned incense and food offerings. It is said that during Mid-Autumn Festival, Chang-e and Hou Yi are reunited. Mooncakes are offerings in Chang-e’s honour and are eaten as a form of celebration. The roundness of these mooncakes symbolise completeness and unity of families.

10 random winners will be selected. The winner will be entitled to ONE box of Snow-Skin Earl Grey Tea and Chocolate Pearl Truffle Mooncakes from Raffles Singapore.
- Your participation in the Contest shall be deemed to be your acceptance of the terms and conditions herein (the “Terms”).
- Winners will be announced via the comments section on the Facebook post on 23 September 2015 6:00PM.
- The winners will be notified via phone call on 23 September 2015. GOGOVan Singapore shall not be held responsible or liable in the event that the winners cannot be contacted via the mobile number for any reason whatsoever. In the event that GOGOVan Singapore is unable to contact the winner after three attempts, the winner shall automatically be disqualified and subsequently be replaced by another participant.
- Prize is non-refundable and is not exchangeable for cash in part or in whole.
- Prize cannot be sold to another party and is non-transferable.
- The contest will run from 17 September 2015 9:15AM – 23 September 2015 4:59PM. Participants are required to like the related post on the GOGOVan Singapore Facebook page and comment with the right answer in order to qualify for the contest.
- GOGOVan’s delivery is only available to residential estate/property. No delivery to malls/commercial offices/club house, Sentosa, Jurong island, military base or camps, or point of interests.
- Receivers, please be ready to collect the Mooncake gift from our driver at the drop-off location unless informed otherwise by the driver.
- The GOGOVan driver will not hesitate to move on after waiting for more than 10 minutes.
- Winners are required to use the GOGOVan service to deliver the prize to the tagged individual.
- Delivery of the prize is strictly to be done on 25 September 2015 from 9:00AM to 8:00PM.
- GOGOVan Singapore shall not be liable for any claims by the participants or be accountable for third-party claims or losses of any nature, including but not limited to, loss of profits, punitive, indirect, special, incidental, or consequential damages or for other damages and any related claims of any nature, including direct, indirect, third party, consequential or other damages resulting from or related to this contest.
- GOGOVan Singapore shall not be responsible or liable for any claims of loss or damage to property or any personal injury or loss of life resulting from or related to this contest.
- Participants acknowledge and agree that GOGOVan Singapore reserves the rights to disqualify any entry if it is in breach of its obligations or any terms and conditions of this contest.
- GOGOVan Singapore does not take any responsibility in the case of an event that may prevent the participants from participating in the campaign, as a result of certain technical restrictions or other limitations specific or force majeure, which include but not limited to regulatory events, government directive, government intervention and act of God etc.

- Selection of winners is at the sole discretion of GOGOVan.
- Should erroneous or false information be provided and result of which forfeits the winners from obtaining the prize, GOGOVan will not be held liable to any forms of compensation.

- All unredeemed prizes will be forfeited and GOGOVan reserves the right to contact a new winner or do whatever with the prize as they deem fit.

“Be Over The Moon” (“the Campaign”) is organised by GOGOVan Singapore Pte Ltd. (“the Organiser”) and is open to all Singapore citizens, permanent residents residing in Singapore and foreigners residing in Singapore. The following persons are not eligible to participate in this promotion:
- All employees (both permanent and fixed term contract) of the organiser and their immediate family members; and
- Representatives, employees, contractors and agents of advertising, promotion and/or media service providers of the organiser, and their immediate family members.
